You may have noticed in the media that the Portobello Sailing and Kayaking Club has been awarded £75,000 by Sports Scotland to build what they’re called a new water sports hub. But that money depends on the club being able to themselves raise at least that sum before the project can move forward. So this weekend, the first in a series of fund raising activities are taking place as part of the Kilt Walk, culminating in “Pedal to Paddle” a 26 mile cycle ride tomorrow. So what does all this mean for members of the club?
