#14: Interview with Esther Fairfax and Jenifer Klepfer
Manage episode 205305033 series 1521203
This podcast features a wonderful interview with Esther Fairfax and Jenifer Klepfer - Esther Fairfax is the daughter of Lotte Berk, the creator of the Lotte Berk Technique, also known as ‘slutty yoga’ (although we found out after we recorded this that Esther hates that term!). Esther wrote an autobiography about her mother and her upbringing, and Jenni talks to her and Jenifer about the writing process, what they are writing now, and generally how to approach the wonderful ‘mish mash’ that is life and enjoying it for what it is. Apologies for the sound quality in this one, Jen really has to learn about microphone placement!
What we’ve learnt this episode:
- There’s never a right or wrong time to change your life and how we’re inbuilt to succeed
- How to break up with your phone – How we are getting with cutting down our phone use
- If you can’t look after yourself, how the hell you gonna look after someone else? (Sorry Ru Paul)
- We reveal some self care tips, including the legendary ‘Stroke yourself’
- We shouldn’t try to sing “I Touch Myself’
- Jen’s thoughts on How To Stop Time by Matt Haig, It Started With A Tweet by Anna Bell and how much she bloody loves Mary Beard
- All of Marc’s loves are on Netflix, including Victoria Wood and French & Saunders
- The Manic Street Preachers and Kylie have got new albums out and they are both so good!
- Jenni’s Nan doesn’t understand veganism
