Manage episode 426655100 series 2863508
The news of Texas covered today includes:
Our Lone Star story of the day: I read and marked up the full 119 pages of the Presidential immunity, Trump v. United States, decision from the U.S. Supreme Court today. It is NOT what liberal Leftists, politicians and press, say. Nor is it a free pass to Donald Trump as some early conservative leaning outlets implied. The ruling is a Separation of Powers ruling and is mostly what all Americans considered to be the case for over 200 years.
Two other court decisions discussed as well:
- Netchoice v. Moody and Netchoice v. Paxton
- Justices uphold laws banning camping on public property with criminal penalties. No, the Supreme Court Did Not Make It a ‘Crime to Be Homeless’.
Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.
Governor Abbott names Robert Black, an old Rick Perry hand, Chief of Staff – a good move.
Texas A&M University Chancellor John Sharp, the last of the old elected Democrats standing, to retire in June 2025.
