Our Lone Star story of the day: The Texas Tribune has a big “social justice” story out on Lubbock and it’s full of half truths, utter ignorance, and even a lie or two. There are many things ignored by these people, the biggest of which is that people can choose to live anywhere they want and choose to build any type of house they want, and thousands upon thousands do so in Lubbock – of all races, creeds, and ethnicities. Also missed is how freeways run through South, Southwest, West, and Northwest Lubbock too so, why are those not racist constructs? Why are people in the newest areas wanting and waiting on a new freeway, an outer loop? So much of these ideas presented are solely constructs of victimhood that pretty much all this group advocates should be ignored.
