Producer Diaries Podcast | Episode #14.
Jay Cactus, Ocean, and LLB join forces to bring you a brand-new weekly podcast where we talk about music production, content creation, life, and current events.
In this episode, we discuss the importance of being present on multiple social media platforms and the need to adapt to changing trends. We share our experiences with different content formats and platforms, noting that certain types of content perform better on specific platforms. We also discuss the challenges of finding the right sound or genre in the music industry and the importance of experimenting while staying true to one's style. We discuss the limitations of relying on charts and trends to determine the direction of music. The conversation also touches on the importance of content creation and staying true to one's own style rather than following trends. We discuss the different music scenes in the UK, US, and Thailand, highlighting the popularity of EDM in Thailand and the diversity of music in the US. We share our experiences in the music industry, including the importance of repurposing content and optimizing time. LifeStyleDidIt started making tutorials on YouTube after realizing he enjoyed teaching others about music production. He began by using an iPad and basic video editing software, not caring about the quality of the videos. He has been consistent with his YouTube channel since the end of 2016 and has adapted to changes in the industry, always trying new platforms and adjusting his content. He emphasizes the importance of staying open to learning and improving. He also talks about the need to maintain a balanced mindset and not get too caught up in analytics or fluctuations in views. LifeStyleDidIt practices meditation, exercise, and enjoys nature walks to detach from technology and relax. We discuss the potential future of technology, such as Neuralink and Apple Vision Pros, and how it may further disconnect people from reality. We also reflect on the importance of getting outside and experiencing the world beyond our workspaces. The conversation delves into the mindset of content creators and the need to balance ambition with the acceptance that things may not always go as planned. We emphasize the importance of enjoying the journey and being open to new opportunities. We also explore the idea of finding fulfillment and pride in personal achievements rather than external goals. The conversation concludes with a discussion about the ever-evolving landscape of careers and the need to adapt and pivot as new opportunities arise.
