Even though marijuana is known for increasing appetite, hence the term munchies, we detected an inverse association between marijuana use and diabetes.
Dr. Omayma Alshaarawy is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health at Indiana University. Her research focuses on the epidemiology of chronic disease, mainly diabetes and cardiovascular (CVD).
