Application of the Texas Enterprise Risk Management Guidelines with Lisette Osborne Networking at PRIMA’s conference Lisette was introduced to Texas’s ‘SORM’ website https://www.sorm.state.tx.us/ where she was able to find the state’s guidelines on risk management. The website has sections and guidelines broken down into a variety of content which may be helpful if you are new to the risk management world and/or helpful if you are seasoned validating how your program functions or could run. Key components of designing a program - What is the benefit of the agency? - What is the value added? - Why does this risk management exist? - How will it function? - Importance of evaluating the program, what does the success look like and how often - Who do you need to convince or sell the program to? - How to structure the way your risk management program will apply in your own agency and entity.
