SuperTalk 2x17 - Distant Sun Supergirl Season 2, Episode 17, “Distant Sun”, aired March 27, 2017 This is Supergirl firing on all cylinders and it is GREAT! It’s almost as if Greg Berlanti is listening to Super Talk! Pretty much EVERY issue we have been having with Supergirl this season was absent from this episode. Of course nothing is perfect, but this episode is what we love to see from Supergirl and we want to see more! Karamel is back on, Malex gets hit by an ex, Mon-El discovers helicopter parenting and Linda Hamilton is FINALLY BACK!!! While we didn’t watch the Flash/Supergirl musical, it’s clear that the events of the crossover bring Kara and Mon-El back together again, and this is fine, as long as they don’t keep breaking them up and putting them back together again. While Karamel is back on, Malex gets hit with an ex and it looks touch and go there for a bit, but the writers handled this BEAUTIFULLY, making for a great mini arc within the episode. The central conflict of the episode is Mon-El’s parents and oh boy is Teri Hatcher FABULOUS in this episode. All and all we LOVED this episode and hope the rest of the season is as good as this episode is.
