Today we will be talking about the judicial branch of the United States government: the courts. We will discuss the different types of courts, types of jurisdiction, the case Marbury v. Madison, how the Supreme Court decides to hear cases, and more. Starting next episode, we'll be talking about different Supreme Court decisions. Here's the schedule for the rest of the season:

August 25- Roe v. Wade and other major abortion decisions

September 8- Boutilier v. Immigration and Naturalization Service (1967) & National Gay Task Force v. Board of Education of the City of Oklahoma City (1984)

September 22- Bowers v. Hardwick (1986) & Lawrence v. Texas (2003)

October 6- Romer v. Evans (1996)

October 20- United States v. Windsor (2013), Hollingsworth v. Perry (2013), & Obergefell v. Hodges (2015)

November 3- Oncale v. Sundowner Offshore Services (1998)

November 17- Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins (1989)

December 1- Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission (2018)

December 15- Bostock v. Clayton County (2020)
