It's not just the fear of having to meet new people, then begrudgingly engage them in small talk while you're trying to figure out where the oyster fork goes, or that you now have to cope with the realization that people buy special forks for oysters. It's that there's no such thing as a free lunch, and it seems like dinner might hurt more than just your wallet.
