The king of the classic endurance events - the Kenyan Safari - is a special round of the world championship with a place in the heart of every rally aficionado who spends too much time on YouTube watching snorkel fitted Celicas plunging through rutted mud. Though the days of the stage distance surpassing 1000km or more are behind us, this week we revisit those days with 2 events from the 90's: 1996 and 1999
