Bruxism, from the Ancient Greek word “brux”, defines grinding or gnashing of the teeth. The ancient roots suggest that this problem has been around for centuries and is something that we still deal with today! Many people, myself included, grind their teeth uncontrollably at night and spend their days massaging their face, head, and neck constantly to release the tension. In this episode we kick off RDHBites with a special episode featuring Dr. Delphine Jeong!

Today we’ll talk about:

  • What causes bruxism
  • How much damage is caused by grinding your teeth by applying over 300 pounds of pressure!
  • How nightguards can help
  • The relationship between your bite and bruxism
  • What dental professionals can do for patients who grind their teeth

Thank you for joining us today and see you again soon!
