About Surviving Master Joshua: BDSM Memoir of an Unfaithful Wife

Master Joshua is a pansexual, polyamorous pro-Dom (the term for a male Dominatrix, or a man who Dominates others for money). He leads a leather tribe and, when we met, was battling accusations of rape and abuse. Master Joshua was the intended subject of my story… until I became it. My own name doesn’t matter. I can’t use it here. Suffice to say that I was a reporter and a comfortably married mother of two. But, following Joshua deeper and deeper into New York’s sexual underground, I crossed the line between observer and participant. Our experiences changed me: I lied and cheated to facilitate them, though a lying cheater was not who I wanted to become. I wanted to remain a good wife and mother, and a decent person. So did Joshua. But we couldn’t have our cake and eat it too… or could we?
This is a true story, about one of the least understood and most sensationalized factions of LGBTQA+. But more so, it’s about my own family’s capacity to survive.
About Master Joshua:

Juggling as many job titles as he does lovers, Master Joshua is a Pro-Dom, Lifestyle Educator, NTSB (Non-Traditional Sexual Behaviours) Counselor, Spiritual Guide, Life Coach, Photographer and Fetish Media Producer. He’s also Co-Founder of “The Kink Collective,” an NYC-based leather tribe devoted to kink education and event production. His flagship endeavor is “People Before Kink” a series of online and in-person workshops focused on developing affinity and empathy.
Through all his various endeavors, Joshua’s goal remains the same: to relieve people of shame and fear, allowing them to live as who they truly are.
About Karma Said:

Karma has departed from a decade-long career as a staff-reporter for a reputable conservative outlet to report about kink.
She is the author of “Surviving Master Joshua: The BDSM Memoir Of An Unfaithful Wife,” and an editor at Carnal Culture Publishing, an indie publication devoted to supporting, promoting and publishing non-fiction works of kink and erotica.
