In this episode, your host Amy Milne gets real with Jennifer Singh, CEO of She's Newsworthy Media. Jennifer is a former TV reporter turned entrepreneur and CEO. She started her company to be able to amplify women's voices in the media because she feels they are underrepresented, and we couldn't agree more! She starts off by highlighting the different between public relations professionals and journalists, and then dives right into the good stuff: the importance of human interest stories. As non-profit peeps, it's crucial to think about how the average person is going to be impacted by your story or cause. The nuggets of media gold are endless in this episode, but our fave is staying relevant in the media on an ongoing basis, not just when you're having an event (we're all guilty of this!). Stay tuned until the end to hear Jennifer walk us through her step-by-step plan to pitch your story, and make sure you have a pen and paper ready because you'll want to take notes. Jennifer is smart, kind, authentic and an all-around good human and we know you're gonna love her as much as we do!

"You have to be able to amplify your thought leadership and connect it to the media's news cycle on an ongoing basis.” – Jennifer Singh
