This episode we will discuss a huge issue facing families today in America....the big "D" word (Divorce). I know first hand that it is hard for parents and getting caught in your emotions of regret, betrayal, loss, denial, anger, and so on....but what about the kids? How do they feel? They have emotions too. To a child the primal loss of a family structure can have a harsh and sometimes catastrophic toll on them, even into adulthood. I will share stories of now-adult children who came from a Divorced family, how it effected them and answers to some questions such as "What do you say to those who claim that "children are resilient" and "children are happy when their parents are happy?" There are appropriate ways to approach Divorce with your children that we will be sharing, and I will offer some tools or "how to's" so you can use to help your children right now. I will have a special surprise guest you really won't want to miss.
