Jp3logoThis time it’s not just a walk in the park! Welcome to Episode 23 of “Reel Chat” – a podcast that guarantees week in, week out – the “Reel world as we know it.”

On this episode of our “Vintage Vault” retrospective series, host Adam Stolfo is joined by co-host Brose Avard and regular guest Stuart Wilson to discuss 2001’s “Jurassic Park III” – the much maligned (and often overlooked) second sequel in the ever popular “Jurassic Park” franchise.

Adam has tapped out, Brose appears in neutral gear, and Stuart enlightens us all with his positive thoughts on what he believes to be an extremely underrated (satire comedy) sequel. As usual, this is where “Reel Chat” shines brightest, with it’s ongoing debates on a flawed sequel always being infinitely more entertaining than round-the-board praise.

With the franchise’s latest entry (“Jurassic World”) coming out in mid June, there really is no better time to look back at the series in detail, and right here you’ll hear the guys discuss this third film’s cast, it’s filmmakers, it’s new horror/comedy tone and direction, Don Davis’s underwhelming (but serviceable) score, the film’s Blu-Ray release, as well as the overwhelmingly exciting news about the anticipated return of “Jurassic Park” favourite – BD Wong in “Jurassic World“!

A new segment – “The Franchise Cut-Off Point” makes it’s debut here as well, with the guys all giving their opinions on when to tap out and walk away from an established (and popular) franchise.
