Welcome to Episode 8 of “Reel Chat” – a podcast that promises week in, week out – the “Reel World as we know it.”
On this eighth installment of the “Vintage Vault” retrospective series, we look at 1988’s “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” – and what a bloody great gem of a forgotten film this is! Host Adam Stolfo is joined by co-host Brose Avard, Andrew McCaskill and the returning Michael Hadjion to look in depth at what can only be described as a timeless classic. But even if you feel that this film is now beyond you, and feel like skipping it in preparation for our big 2015 Oscars special next week… um… DON’T!
“Reel Chat” gets a little cruder than usual, as we discuss all the film’s hidden sexual innuendo, it’s many jokes and gags, it’s legacy, and it’s overall lasting impression. Andrew goes into the snake pit as the only member of the team who doesn’t hold the film in high regard, which is always great for some banter. But you’ll be surprised how much he actually comes around during the discussion.
As usual, we also look in depth at key scenes, the film’s cast and crew, it’s jazzy and catchy score, and much, much more! Now, is that 13 “Back To The Future” references we count…?
