On this episode of Reel Life & Fishing, Jimi and his guest Derek Sandlin share a fishing trip that Jimi will never forget. They also discuss the growth of high school fishing in the state of Arkansas, the upcoming open at Lake Ouachita, and how there is nothing like living in a small town community. Derek has been involved with the Mt. Ida football team in various capacities ever since he has graduated from the school. His father coached there for 30 years and Derek is proud to give back to the community in any way that he can.
Derek has always had a passion for tournament fishing. He has had a successful career with wins in multiple circuits. One to note is the Mr. Bass of Arkansas Classic in 2016 that had a unique format.
