After absolutely bungling the Futures episode, we attempt to make it up to Jimmy Eat World (who desperately need our validation) by talking about… their most successful song to date. Then Tom gets really sweaty and talks about a kid getting slapped while trying to sleep at his 14th birthday party. Idk. Back to Jimmy Eat World

In 2001, the record industry turned their back on James and they retaliated by releasing one of the biggest songs of the year, The Middle, which stands for the finger they gave to Capitol Records for dropping them just a couple of years prior.
