In this episode, I chat with Angie Cook, about what leads dogs to become reactive or sensitive to other dogs and what to do about it. We also discuss resource guarding - we chat about why it’s so important to understand why your dog is resource guarding before trying to address it.

Angie has years of experience working with dog shelters so we also talk about the dos and don’ts of settling your adopted rescue dog.

Angie is a certified Dog Behaviourist and a certified Family Dog Mediator with the Dog Door Behaviour Centre in North Carolina.

Angie used to be the Director of Operations at the Animal Compassion Network (now part of the Ashville Humane Society) where she oversaw the development of behaviour programmes.
