“Respecting the Process is dealing with all of the people who are going to be the stakeholders & shareholders in an issue. That means respecting the individuals who are involved with it. Once we collectively make a decision to a process that comes to a conclusion, it is important to stick with that. In the end, there will be more people that understand the rationale and the reason for coming to a particular decision & even though they might not agree with it - they will respect it. It is important to be open to change. It is very important to be thinking of the long-term, well beyond the term of council to the next election. People expect you to take a stand.”
