Does everyone really need a financial advisor? Who does an advisor most benefit and who might be better off on their own? Alan and Troy talk through the reasons why someone might do well working with a financial advisor to create the right financial plan.

Instead of waiting until you get to retirement, you want to approach it beforehand with an advisor. For those who are procrastinating or feel like they don’t know where to start, an advisor will be able to help you. The right advisor will be able to build a plan that helps you get where you want to go in retirement. Troy and Alan work with people to find the problem areas in their financial path so that you have time to fix it if needed.

If you don’t work with financial plans all of the time, you might be overlooking things. You don’t know what you don’t know. If you are doing DIY for your financial plans you might later face unexpected repercussions if you aren’t aware of what your choices or risk could result in. Some may be able to do it themselves, but simply don’t want to. You may know how to fix your car, repair your roof, or put together a financial plan, but choose to have someone else do it.

If you decide to do it yourself, be sure to be a student in the many areas you will need to understand. You may hear conflicting things in the media, which could become confusing. Financial advising is not just for multi-millionaires, but for people who want a coach to help them navigate the many financial decisions ahead of them.
