Host/producer Kerilie McDowall interviews two members of the virtuostic Trio Dinicu in this show. Brilliantly talented 28 year old Montreal violinist Luanne Homzy and 25 year old gypsy jazz Los Angeles guitarist Tommy Davy are on interview in this podcast episode. The trio also includes the very impressive Ukrainian double bassist Aleksey Klyushnik. This trio consists of musicians who perform at a very high level with technical mastery and virtuosity that is sure to impress and delight. Sample some tracks from Trio Dinicu's past release Live in Los Angeles and learn about the world of gypsy swing jazz and how the trio melds and fuses this style with Classical music and the European Folk Tradition. This is a true Classical- Jazz fusion with Folk influences from Hungary, Romania and more. If you adore past greats like Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and the well known Classical masters, you will be in for a treat with this one hour interview and music feature that leans heavily on the Classical. Guitarists take note, Tommy Davy discusses the unique guitar he uses for gypsy jazz and gets into some finer details about gypsy swing that are very educational that you will not want to miss. I am delighted to bring this music and the interviews to you featuring some highly talented and gifted musicians from this trio for your enjoyment and leisure listening!
