Welcome to the second part of a special episode of Robby the Robot’s Waiting dedicated to 25 years of SFX magazine!

We had so much fun recording this bonus conversation that we split it into two parts. Make sure you’ve heard the first before you dive in here.

As you know, SFX is the world’s number one sci-fi and fantasy magazine, and it launched in 1995 making 2020 a milestone year. For the first time in the entire history of the universe, we brought together all five of those who have sat in the coveted editor’s chair – from launch ed Matt Bielby to current captain of the ship Darren Scott – to reminisce on the history of a sci-fi institution.

In this second instalment, Matt, Dave G, Dave B, Rich and Darren look back at triceratops cover stars, James Marsters playing decoy, legendary authors requesting helicopter transport, being starstruck by Tom Hardy, covering the F on the cover, what the X stands for and more...

While you’re enjoying this fun-packed festival of five fellas, why not check out the latest issue of SFX? Here are the details of how to subscribe and buy single issues online. https://www.gamesradar.com/uk/sfx-magazine-new-issue/

The voices you’ll be hearing are…

Matt Bielby: SFX editor, 1995-1996

Dave Golder: SFX editor, 1996-2005 https://twitter.com/davegolder
