Alice White (@alicewhitethp) and Buddy Duquesne (@buddy_duquesne) have the amazing honor to present this interview with industry legend and ACTUAL Rogue One crew member: Hal Hickel!

Hal Hickel is a four time Oscar nominee for Achievement in Visual Effects (including for his work on Rogue One!), winning once for his work on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. He is an animation director at Industrial Light and Magic, is responsible for the movement of the Droidekas, and is currently the animation supervisor for The Mandalorian.

Hal was so kind to come on our show and talk about his background in animation, his thoughts on stop-motion and claymation, and his work on our favorite movie. He talks about the creation of K2-SO, the reshoots and post-production challenges, and what it means for a boy from a farm in Colorado to work on and create for Star Wars.

Don't forget to join us at the end of the month for our discussion of part 1 (chapters 1-13) of Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel by James Luceno.
