Looking to visit Yellowstone National Park? We have some tid-bits of knowledge to share with you that you may not already know about this magical place!
Yellowstone History:
Yellowstone became a national park on March 1, 1872. When President Ulysses S. Grant signed the Yellowstone National Park Protection Act into law, it protected more than 2 million acres of mountain wilderness, amazing geysers and vibrant landscapes for future generations to enjoy. Yellowstone encompasses 3,472 square miles (2,221,766 acres) which makes it larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined!
7 Interesting Facts about Yellowstone:
1. Half the world’s hydrothermal features are found at Yellowstone.
2. Old Faithful isn’t as reliable as its name.
3. “Share the road” takes on a whole new meaning at Yellowstone.
4. Yellowstone’s history dates back 11,000 years.

5. Yellowstone is a supervolcano.
6. Yellowstone is home to the largest concentration of mammals in the lower 48.
7. Yellowstone has its own Grand Canyon.

Oh, and #8. Yellowstone has unpredictable Weather!

Finally #9: Yellowstone is busy at the tourist traps!
‍In all, Yellowstone National Park is truly an amazing place. I can say, it is definitely not our favorite National Park for views... Zion National Park blows it out of the water, however, when it comes to nature and some pretty cool interesting things to see, Yellowstone has been pretty amazing and is definitely a place you must see and experience. Because it is so large, and there is so much to do, we recommend planning more then just 7 days. To see everything, you need 10-14 days to truly see everything, and even this wont be enough!
