Brazil and Totalitarianism - Does Bitcoin and NOSTR Fix This?

We currently are witnessing more and more authoritarian activity all around the world, and even in countries that are developed/developing.
Unfortunately, as time goes on this doesn't fade away - rather it keeps growing because as long as we are alive there will always be authoritarian dictators trying to assert dominance over other countries, their money & of course their people.
In today's podcast, I discuss important topics about how NOSTR and Bitcoin can help fix many of the issues we are witnessing in Brazil. These topics include:

• The push towards control, censorship, and the creation of fear by governments
• Blocking of X Accounts, Elon Musk pushes back
• This is how dictators come to be (Lula and de Moraes)
• Other countries around the world would jump on opportunities to censor accounts
• Transparency is key
• Where does Bitcoin play a role? Not in the speech, but the freedom of capital flows
• Crowdfunding (the truckers, Israel, etc)
• Totalitarian countries control the banks and financial institutions
• If they don’t want their opponent to win, they can control the ebbs and flows of capital
• NOSTR is an open-source platform where you hold the keys, I think leveraging this platform, alongside Bitcoin lightning provides a perfect way of getting one voice out - and it cannot be silenced
• Stand up to authoritarianism, stand up to dictators, allocate value to those that want freedom of property, of speech, and sovereignty for individuals
