Pickles tells us how before getting the part of Rod, he had already appeared in Grange Hill with Todd Carty and Terry Sue-Patt; how his work with the Graeae Theatre Company led to him appearing at the 2012 Paralympics Opening Ceremony and how an appearance in an iconic British television programme early on in his career gave him the nickname that he is still known as today!
