The UK variant of the coronavirus has caused problems in Melbourne with the Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announcing a snap, five-day lockdown for the whole state to stop an outbreak that leaked from hotel quarantine. Do public health measures need to change to deal with variants going forward? Steve and Ben discuss the various coronavirus variants now presenting a challenge to the world and the measures implemented to combat them. They also discuss exciting news in the exploration of space, with probes from three different countries arriving on Mars to further study the red planet, including the examination of potential microbial life on the surface.
