Episode 6’s guest is screenwriter and producer Michael Kennedy.

Michael Kennedy was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Michael is a screenwriter and producer, best known for his popular body swap horror comedy Freaky (2020), starring Vince Vaughn. Michael’s most recent film is the appropriately seasonal It’s A Wonderful Knife (2023).

Welcome to SCREAM DREAMS - The Nightmares That Shaped Us! SCREAM DREAMS is the show that delves into our most vivid dreams and nightmares, and how they affect our lives and work.

Show hosts are Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier, Return to Nuke 'Em High), James A Janisse (Kill Count, Dead Meat Podcast) and Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, Suitable Flesh).

The Holiday Season is upon us, the decorations are up, and Michael and our hosts get into all things Christmas (and horror!).

Michael talks his love of Christmas, which he thinks may be the gayest holiday, and Catherine reveals her other career in Christmas movies, how It’s A Wonderful Life was his Dad’s favorite movie, how Justin Long really made his character his own, and how Joel McHale is the most supportive actor in the world. We discuss the illusion and sordid reality of Hollywood, Michael’s fear of premiering his movies and losing his teeth, and Catherine’s fear of feet and ‘grandma toes’!

Michael reveals his upbringing sheltered from horror films and how scared he was when he first watched one. How he is known for writing queer characters into his stories without making a big thing of it. Plus his favorite Christmas horror movies, and James’ deep knowledge of Christmas horror franchise sequels.

In this week’s Side Barb, Barbara reveals one of her favorite movies of all time – which is totally on point! Our game this week is a mad-lib, but with a difference – a Christmas song!

We really welcome your Feedback - please let us know what you think of the show so far in the comments, suggest any fun nightmare games we might play, as well as future guests you’d like to see on the show!
