The value of diversity is unquestioned, yet it is far from clear that the security sector is good at engaging with this issue, certainly not across sectors and at different levels. One recruitment consultant described the issue as ‘real’ and another as ‘imagined’; in short it is specious. In this webinar we will discuss the basis for the argument that diversity is a challenge in the security sector, and examine the barriers real and perceived – to engaging a more diverse workforce. What information is collected and by who to attract the best talent and how can that impact upon improved diversity? Specifically, this webinar will:
- Explore the importance of diversity
- Examine the challenges faced by the security sector in engaging a diverse workforce
- Discuss the key changes needed to improve diversity in the security sector
Panellists:
Kathy Lavinder – Founder & Executive Director at Security & Investigative Placement Consultants (US)
Priya Vencatasawmy – Talent Consultant at Zitko and Mental Health in Recruitment Champion (UK)
Jerry Brennan – Chief Executive at Security Management Resources (SMR Group) (US, UK and Hong Kong)
