The status of corporate security directors: has the pandemic changed perceptions of the leaders of security?
Previous work has noted that in the corporate hierarchy security professionals sometimes find themselves at a disadvantage because they lack the business acumen and experience compared to other corporate professionals. This lower status has a knock-on impact in being less well placed to defend professional territories, argue for investment in say those suppliers that are better but cost more. From this there is a somewhat downward spiral that impacts on perceptions of the wider security sector. How true is this today? Has the role played by security in the pandemic made a difference? Will it last? This webinar will discuss:
How does the status of heads of corporate security compare with that of other corporate professionals?
In what ways has the pandemic invited a rethink or a repositioning?
How can we improve the perception of the head of security role? Do we need to do so?
Panellists:
Radek Havlis – Director Security (CSO) at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Central and Eastern Europe)
Letitia Emeana – Global Security Capability Manager at Unilever (UK)
Torsten Wolf – Head of Group Security Operations at Zurich Insurance Company (Switzerland)
