Normally, we'd collectively circle a date and eagerly await our next opportunity to catch up—beers, banter, laughs, and of course, the tunes. In this current climate/during this challenging period; said opportunities haven't afforded themselves, so we've been forced to get a little creative with regard to a platform for sharing and consuming music together... and flexing our creative muscles in the process. Enter 'The Lockdown Sessions'. DJs In The Distance. The first volume. It's a DJ take on "pass the parcel"... in the best way possible. Play four tracks and pass it on. Four more, and on she goes. No specific plan nor objective. Just four of your favourites—newer, older, a guilty pleasure, a cherished favourite, or something experimental. Whatever you please—it's your stanza. This is the result: a (hopefully) cohesive 80-odd minutes of music from four mates. Four like-minded individuals. Compiled and mixed indulgently within our respective abodes.
