A Lethbridge jury yesterday returned verdicts of not guilty against to men accused of conspiring to kill RCMP officers at the Canada/U.S. Border blockade at Coutts, Alberta. Chris Carbert and Anthony Olienick were found guilty on lesser charges of mischief and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, with Olienick also convicted of the possession of a pipe bomb. Assessment of the charges and imprisonment of both Carbert and Olienick who spent almost 2 years in custody without opportunity for bail.
