The deputy leader of the Conservative Party of Canada is questioning what the Liberal government and specifically the federal minister of justice did to to a greater extent vet the past of Birju Dattani before appointing Dattani as the head of the Canadian Human Rights Commission with his "long history of antisemitic posts, including that the use of terrorism was a 'rational and well-calculated strategy.'"
