A recent report estimates there will be more than 76,000 drones in use across UK skies by 2030, with nearly 630,000 people working in the drone economy, adding £42 billion to UK GDP. They’re already being used in many sectors including farming, the emergency services and the insurance industry. But their relatively low cost also means they are affordable to the general public. How will the wider business world benefit from drone technology and how should the insurance industry adapt as ownership grows? Nick Hewer discusses the future of drones with: Tom Chamberlain - Underwriting Manager Aerospace and General Aviation at Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty - London. Tony Avery – Underwriter – General Aviation and Aerospace at Allianz Global Corporate and Specialty - London. James Dunthorne - Standards Director – Association of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems UK (ARPAS UK) Elaine Whyte (UK - Technology and Innovation) PWC Insurance Tomorrow - A podcast brought to you by Allianz UK
