By now you should notice, there are much more to learn in your professional, business, and personal life in your life journey. It’s not realistic to expect to know everything there is to accomplish your goals; it will take time and a lot of money, depending on your dreams. One possible way to speed up your success is to work with someone who has already achieved your desired goal or dream.
For example, the relationship you have with a mentor, or a coach can be official or informal. Mentors should have experiences since they have gone through the process towards success, especially failures. The mentors you choose should have the experience or skills you desire to learn. They will know what kinds of training you may need to develop your skills.
More importantly, mentors or coaches can give you instant feedback on what you are doing right or wrong during your development. Most worthwhile mentors or coaches will be glad to give you instant feedback. You need a mentor that will know when to shove or push.
Be sure to ask lots of questions about what they expect from you and what you can expect from them. This expectation is essential to develop an excellent working relationship. This kind of advice is invaluable. Make sure you give them full permission to be completely honest with you.
Should you pay for mentors or coaches?
It depends on what you are trying to accomplish. Yes, you should pay for mentors if your dreams are worth the price of mentors. Remember watching YouTube, Facebook, and IG live will only take you but so far. Some mentors work for a minimal fee, if not for free, for a short time.
As previously mentioned, if there is someone who can act as your mentor and is willing to do this for free, consider doing it—on the other hand, paying for someone to coach you create accountability for you and them, which is a crucial aspect of mentoring.
