Afriquan Film a podcast series in which we shall explore our continent’s cinematic landscape through film recommendations, as well as conversations with pertinent practitioners working within this creative industry.

Our twelfth episode finds us diving into a programme that's developing a wealth of African filmmakers, Multichoice's Talent Factory [previously known as the Magic in Motion Academy]. Our guest is the pioneering filmmaker, Bobby Heaney, who runs the South African leg of the program that has since branched into four countries within the continent. Our conversation explores the Factory, of which our host was an initial recipient of, and the impact it has had on it's surrounding industries. There are plenty of tips for prospective and aspiring filmmakers. Follow us on @afriquanfilm on Instagram and Twitter for more information.
