In Episode 171, Ben speaks with Dr. Brian Boyd, William C. Friday Distinguished Professor of Education in the University of North Carolina School of Education and director of the UNC Frank Port Graham Child Development Institute. In June 2023, Dr. Boyd hosted the first in-person meeting of the Black Empowerment in Autism Network. The first-of-its-kind group of Black scholars (including Autistic members) was developed to make autism research more inclusive and examine the ways that autism impacts Black children and their families.
