Today Ali and Asif discuss the recent hit Netflix special ‘The Roast of Tom Brady’ (2:31). Asif starts off by asking Ali if Tom Brady was a good candidate for a roast. They then chat about the hosting duties of Kevin Hart and some of the controversy related to one of the jokes from ‘Roastmaster General’ Jeff Ross. The guys discuss the various roasters; they go over the athletes who spoke and how some of their jokes were good and how many fell flat. They praise the many of the comedians involved, especially Nikki Glaser. They discuss her breakout performance and how some of her material was written by former DvsC guest Dan St. Germain. They go over the Kim Kardashian section and how the “boos” for her were edited out on subsequent airings. They also discuss the good and bad surprise guests from the roasts including Will Ferrell as Tom Burgundy and Ben Affleck and Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft. They then go over the future of roasts on Netflix

Tom Brady has been linked to Alex Guerrero who advocates an alkaline diet. In our second half we will discuss Guerrero, his health care business with Brady and whether there is any evidence behind his claims (31:54). Asif starts off by discussing Guererro’s background and then reviews the scientific evidence for the alkaline diet. They then go over how Guerrero was sanctioned twice by the US Federal Trade Commission for making false claims. Ali then asks Asif about Brady and Guerreros’ health business TB12.
