*This conversation includes multiple references to sexual assault and suicidal ideation.*

We are so happy to share our conversation with Beth, who is a yoga instructor and reiki master. She takes us back to the beginning, when she was 8 years old and remembers suffering from anxiety and depression. She walks us all the way through today, which includes marrying her missionary, and having five children in eight years. Post partum depression was so strong in her experience, that she found herself fantasizing about suicide, and that is when she realized that she needed help.

Beth went to therapy, which was the first step of many that led to her spiritual awakening. We love Beth's telling of her experience because she conveys the importance of trusting yourself, and becoming familiar with your intuition. This has been a critical part of our journey and mission of this podcast, and Beth shares her story in a way that highlights this beautifully.

Beth has done many remarkable things on her journey including becoming a pre-school teacher, a seminary teacher for students with special needs, and starting a non-profit geared towards mental health solutions for teens. She developed a program to bring yoga and mindfulness to students in underfunded neighborhoods and classrooms.

Beth really leans in to her intuition as she started unraveling her doubts about her religion as she was finding peace and hope on her yoga mat. Her curiosity led her to examine the inconsistencies between the teachings and the culture in the LDS church.

We hope that this personal story telling helps you find peace in trusting yourself and is a beautiful reminder that you have everything you need to create the life you desire.
