We are honored to invite back, friend of the pod, Stephen Nibley. Stephen is a Certified Life Coach and meditation practitioner. He hosts workshops, meditation, and he coaches people one on one. We are really excited to share this conversation with you, Stephen is a well of knowledge and shares it in such a concise and simple manner, we know you are going to get a lot from this episode.
We sat down with Stephen to talk all about emotions. Through out the course of this conversation he helps us answer the questions: What are emotions? Where do they come from? And what are we supposed to do with them? In order to answer these questions we dip our toes into how many emotions there are as well as fascinating neuroscience. Stephen has put together his own theory on emotions by studying neuroscientists Candace Pert and Bruce Lipton. He also references some compelling new discoveries by German New Medicine.
Stephen walks us through the communication process between our brain and our body. He gives us examples of common and detrimental ways that we, as society, react to our emotions. We talk through the key to healing, processing, and understanding our emotions. We spend a good part of this conversation discussing fear, which is your perception of a threat, different forms of fear, and how to resolve and understand our fear.
Stephen gives us 3 important questions to ask when we find ourselves in emotional discomfort, and he also shares five steps on how to process your emotions. Stephen does a phenomenal job simplifying seemingly difficult thoughts and emotions.
