In this episode Eve sets Rose the challenge of practising meditation for 2 weeks.

Meditation might seem like it has gained more popularity over the past two decades with the various apps and such like but actually it has been practised for thousands of years and in many different forms. Once seen as something more spiritual, in recent years meditation has gained a significant body of clinical data to show its efficacy in helping to increase relaxation, reduce and better manage stress, increase self awareness and support a better mind-body connection that has been linked to myriad health conditions such as anxiety, depression, IBS, sleep problems and heart disease just to name a few.

The rules: Rose has to dedicate 10 mins every day to her meditative practise for 2 weeks. Using the infamous box breathing as one technique and encouraging the use of sound to help to support the process.

Could meditation be the answer to combatting the multiple tabs of life and allow us to find space to detach and to be more present? And can Rose really tune out from her perpetually ’switched on’ existence to find better concentration and focus?

Listen to find out how she gets on!

The app mentioned in the episode is OPO www.opo.world other apps we spoke about were Headspace www.headspace.com and the calm app www.calm.com/?
