When women turn 50, the world starts to tune us out. Employers see us as less valuable and Hollywood disproportionately portrays us as unattractive, unfriendly, and even stupid. In reality, this is a time when women start to feel an energy shift.

You may find yourself asking, "When is it my time? What do I want now?" I know that when women show up and invest time and effort into answering these questions, not only do they benefit, but their people benefit, and so does the world.

Midlife is generally considered to be between the ages of 45-65, but for me it's a state of mind. We've been some places and done some things, we're coming out of (or well past) raising children, successful careers, or being a community volunteer. Are you stuck in the "what now?" questions, or are you having the time of your life answering those questions over and over again?

Forget what you would tell your 20-year-old self. I hate that question. My question for you to sit with today is, "what do you want your 99-year-old self to say about your life?" She's the queen who's waiting on you. Don't disappoint her!
