There are several research papers related to technology and mental health. For example, social media likes and comments provide a similar release of dopamine as cocaine does. The more you use social media the less happiness you will experience and the more anxiety, depression, and suicide. Regardless of the negative effects of social media, we will not stop using it, with this in mind, this conversation shed some light on how you can take steps to improve your behavior and mental health.
