They create homes like the passive house which is a super energy efficient and air tight house. Net zero energy is the goal here, meaning homes that produce more energy then they take. By making the homes air tight and insulated, by using an energy efficient design and special construction methods they reduce required heating and cooling demand and prevent energy loss with high performance doors and windows.
