Affirm a child’s identifier immediately or else.

“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” (John Adams)

There are a few things that this world demands of others, but they all revolve around the forceful affirmation of, often times, a false identity.

In this episode, we will discuss an aspect of the affirmation side when it comes to children.

What?

The world says that you must affirm their lifestyle and opinion—their worldview—or be shamed, fired, sued, canceled, etc., but don’t expect the same idea of affirmation in return; in other words, live by their definition of “new tolerance” rather than true tolerance.

“We're so preoccupied with protecting children from disappointment and discomfort that we're inadvertently excusing them from growing up.” (LZ Granderson)
