Five years ago Ruth Kudzi decided it was time to permanently leave her senior leadership role in education. Like so many of us Ruth had had to make a tough decision: the career she’d worked so hard in, or her young family. Ruth chose her family and started working full-time as a Coach.

Fast forward to now, after building a very strong coaching business and reputation, Ruth now runs Optimus Coach Academy, a million-pound business that she loves, that has already trained 100s of coaches to become accredited with the International Coaching Federation. She also manages to do pick up, drop off and exercise every day!

In this interview we talk about how short-sighted it is to overlook the wellbeing of families, ways in which we can stop the ‘not good enough’ negative chatter and why it’s so important to surround yourself with the right support network and go all in.
