Story: A safe-cracker trying to go straight. Pat O'Brien sings "The Charlady's Ball." Guest Melvyn Purvis ("The Greatest G-Man In History") recalls a real safe cracker he met while tracking down John Dillinger. Valentine is called into the warden's office to be told he is to be freed the next day. He promises to go straight and on his release he desperately tries to find a job.
