Part 1:
We talk with John Nichols, writer for The Nation.
We discuss the profitability of large corporations in the US. They have used their wealth to enrich shareholders and executives, not the workers.
The budget at proposed by Biden primarily has two goals: tax the rich, and increase tax revenues from corporations. This would help pay for the social services needed in the US. Comparisons to FDR are made.
Part 2: We talk with Rick Newman, former state representative in NH. We also talk with Bill Curry, who worked in the Clinton White House, and was a tow-time candidate for governor of Connecticut. He was a leader in the Freeze Nuclear movement.
We note that the Supreme court has given Texas the ability to enforce a law to enable Texas police to stop suspected migrants. This contravenes the Constitution's assignment of federal vs. state powers. (Pre-emption and nullification)
Trump continues to stall his court dates. These delays are part of his and the Republican play book.
It appears that the courts are acting in an extra-legal way.
